what are the best months to go biking in Scotland?
i’d like to travel around on bike when i visit (from the US)
cold (at least not real cold) would be less of a concern than rain.
would also like to know how the drivers vs bicyclists are over there?

I would start in April.
Spring comes late up here, this is my home area.
I have never seen sheep on the roads around here either.
City and suburbs have cycle lanes which truthfully are a section of the old road painted with cycle lane markings
but generally people respect cyclists so you wont have any problems.
Rain is sporadic and there is no pattern to it, temperatures struggle to rise over 60 F at most times, occasionally we get 75 or 80.
I used to cycle a lot, there are plenty of tracks over the hills, so hire a mountain bike. Take a tent too, you will love it. Cycle from Aberdeen to Aviemore its a gorgeous route.
