Bike Work Stand Plans
Clamp for the job, or the bike stand made from PVC pipe. Help?
So I'm building a bike work stand out of PVC pipe. I have all plans and projects developed. The only thing left is something to celebrate the bicycle to work stand. I thought of letting it just sit on the bench without be held, but must be solid. No matter the size of PVC if it is between say 1 / 2 to 2 inches I can get adapters. Must be able to maintain (the vice / clamp) something about 1 1 / 2 in diameter up to 2 1 / 2 inch too easy to open close with one hand. All that is close to these specifications would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Oh, and there is a difference between white and black PVC? I heard black is stronger.
PVC is stronger target program 40. It has thicker walls. "Normal" White PVC with a rating of 200 psi is 20 hours and have thinner walls.
