Has anyone found love on the net?
Have any of you found love on the internet, my friends met, got married, he is from Saskatchewan Canada, she is from New Jersey. They live in Canada. They’re in late 50′s, early 60′s
I met a friend from the US. We thought there might be a romance, met, realized we were clones of each other, decided we were twins separated at birth.
I have a twin brother I never see, he has a twin sister he never sees. So we decided we were each others twins. Finished each other sentences, ordered the same food, both pilots, both had motor bikes, drank the same beer, even had the same LR furniture, LOL, listened to the same music, had the same sense of humour, we were like clones.
Both of us have a spinal disability, even the same scars in the same places.
We’ve been best of friends ever since, he is my family.
to clarify we are friends and thats what we will always be, that spark wasnt there just a deep abiding friendship and the love twins have for each other,
36 years ago I met a lovely man and we had a brief relationship, but outside interference ended it. (In those days we were much more in awe of authority) We both married other people, had our families, and ended up divorced.
Eight years ago, when I was fighting cancer, he suddenly got the idea that he needed to find me. He started looking, but with great difficulty as he didn’t know where to start – I lived interstate and my name was different . Then he got a computer, and on the Internet he found my mother’s home address….she had dementia and wouldn’t have had a sensible conversation had he rung her. But on the day he rang the number, my nephew happened to be visiting, and he gave my old flame my sister’s phone number.
She gave him my email address, and for the next year, he and I corresponded on line. It was the best form of communication – we told each other everything, and gradually came to feel the love that had been lost for all those years. Finally, in 2003, I went to visit him, and , long story cut short….we have been together ever since, and plan to marry at the end of the year.
So, although we didn’t technically “meet” on the Internet, we definitely used it to get to know each other, and found it to be the most wonderful way to progress without getting involved too quickly. I’d highly recommend it.
