The children’s bicycles are one of the most priced possessions of the childhood that remains forever in the memory. Even when you grow you grow up the memories of your childhood bicycles play a great role. The bicycles that you buy for your children must be able to teach them how to ride and also protect them. The basic features of kids bikes are the following:
- Training wheels: The children’s bike must have side wheels also known as training wheels in order to protect them from falling off. The wheels must have a strong protective structure. These are connected to the end of the rods which comes out from either end of the original wheels. These small wheels helps children to have a greater grip and support and when by chance they slide on one end the small rod wheels helps them from falling down.
- Colorfulness: The children’s bikes should be extremely colorful. These bikes should be colorful in every respect. It is an asset of the childhood and generally children remember it even when they grow up. The seats of the bike should be multicolored or else colored in baby pink/ red or some bright colors.
- Chain guards: The chain guards should be such that it gives optimum protection to your bike and while you are not driving the chain guards will keep your bike in proper place. For the children’s bike, the chain guards are very important since they often go out carelessly without bothering about the bicycles. For them the chain guards are of great help.
- Front end brakes: The children’s bikes are commonly provided with front end brakes. The front end brakes are commonly found in bikes and children are more comfortable with the front end brakes than with others.
Some guidelines for buying children’s bike:
Moderate price: Although it is the memory of childhood, the children’s bike should be moderately priced. This is because of the high risk of them being stolen since the children are the most careless beings and may leave their bikes anywhere without even understanding the inherent danger.
Seat adjustments: The seat should be adjustable and it must be either raised or placed downwards. This makes the child more comfortable with the seat. He can have a better grip of the bike and can drive more comfortably.
Leg brakes: Although it is interesting for the kid to have hand brakes often they are difficult to control. So it is advisable to buy the leg brakes at the primary level.
