is the specialized P.1 all mountain disc a good bike for a beginner?

im looking to get my first real mountain bike so i can do single track riding and stuff and im thinking of getting the P.1 am disc and i just wanted to know if that was a good first bike for me to get. i read reviews about it and stuff and it looks like a strong bike. I just want some more opinions before I invest. thanks

i have the rockhopper disc and am very pleased. the p1 am looks like it has pretty good components for the price. its got better components than the hardrock sport disc and the main thing that is better is the fork. i would go for it. its got awesome brakes. it has a great frame plus specialized offers a lifetime frame warranty. my rockhopper is a tank and so is my friends hardrock sport so i dont see how this could be a bad bike.
