Road Bike Components Comparison

road bike components comparison
aluminum bicycle comparison?

2 bicyckes, assuming both aluminum, same gearing, same components

A has front suspension, seat suspension, 700 x 28 tires
B has no suspension, but a carbon fork, and has 700 x 35 tires of same tread

Which bike would give a more comfortable ride on mainly pavement & which bike can one theorectically go faster on a 30 mile jaunt on the roads

thanks

jt

You would want a mix of the two bikes for the fastest bike. The 700 X 28 will be much faster (700×23 even faster) but the suspension will eat away at all of your effort. It a real energy and speed drain. If you want more comfort, then the wider tires will provide both comfort and stability…. but, make sure that they are smooth, not knobby like a mtn bike.
