Single Speed Road Bike Gearing

Single Speed Conversion Kit – worth it?
I have a decent bike that I am a big fan. However, most reviews say the bike the same frame – murderer, sub-par components. I have already put the new disc brakes and a new front fork. Now it's just the drivetrain that suction. Actually I'm having a problem with my gears jumping so far as I thought it might be time to consider a single speed. I've talked to many people love. What do you think? Single speed is something decent to go with? I do a lot of road riding around town (I guess you could refer to it as riding urban), but I like to go on the trails from time to time as well. How does a team only conversion speed is different from a bike that comes pre-made as a single speed? As if I can convert my bike to single speed, is there something that would be "lacking" to a brand new single speed bike pre-made?
I would change completely. I remember when I had gear, every time he got a jump, my chain would fall and the sound is soo annoying. How going to do this is to remain in place for about a month and not always the switch. If you do not change, then it shows you do not need others, but if it does then I believe maintain it. Good luck
