What is required for a motorcycle road test in NYC?
I have my road test in under a week so i have a couple of questions. Must I already have insurance on the bike? are they gonna check? i know that i need to bring a bike, but its the insurance thats bugging me. Also, before i start my engine should i be checking my lights and brakes infront of the tester? and are there any tips that anyone has for passing? thnks
Tips for passing: Take the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Course) you take the road test with them and they make it easy to pass, and they provide the bike.
I live in NJ and did mine through MSF so I don’t know what the actual DMV road tests are like. For those questions I’d contact the DMV directly. My instinct is to say that yes to need insurance, and you should check you bike out before you get there.
Actually how do you plan to get the bike there? I hope someone is going with you because you can’t ride the bike there by yourself and if they find out they might automatically fail you.
As for passing, don’t go to fast or to slow. Ask questions if you don’t understand.
