Track Stand Bike
How do i do a track stand on flat ground when my bike has freewheel?
I have mastered track standing on a slight slope. I can just keep staying in the same position until i get bored. But when i do it on flat ground, my bike just starts getting forward momentum when i put a little pressure in to the pedals. Do i just have to learn to keep balance so i don’t need to put pressure in the pedals? Or is there a trick to it? And is it possible to learn to do it no handed on a bike with free wheel?
I must respectfully disagree with mtlbiker. It is completely possible to track stand on level ground with a bike with a freewheel . The trick is in the brakes. With a track bike you just keep back pressure on the pedals so the bike doesn’t move forward and you balance. You can sit there all day. With a freewheel you have to lock your back wheel with the brakes while still pushing down on the pedals so you can balance. Now doing it with no hands wouldn’t b possible because you need the brakes.
